Ken Eldred - Chairman
Ken
Eldred has founded many successful companies including Ariba Technologies,
Prior to Ariba Technologies, Mr. Eldred founded several other companies as
well, including ClickAction (Formerly Mysoftware Co.) which went
public in 1994 and
Norm Thompson Outfitters, Inc., a direct mail, consumer specialty retailer of
high-quality merchandise. He also
helped found and remains on the board of advisors at Crosspoint Venture Partners,
ranked the leading venture capital organization in the United States by Forbes
magazine (Ariba, Brocade, Foundry Networks, Juniper Networks, among others).
Most recently he helped found Epicenter Technologies, a fast growing service
center in Mumbai, India and serves as a director.
In 1988 the Institute of American Entrepreneurs named Ken Eldred Retail
Entrepreneur of the Year for the San Francisco Bay Area and he is a past member
of the Young President’s Organization. He has also been involved politically
serving on the Finance Committee for the George W. Bush Campaign in 2000 and
supporting candidates that support Free Enterprise and Judeo-Christian Principles.
Currently
Mr. Eldred is
the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Living Stones Foundation, a public
support organization created by Mr. and Mrs. Eldred with approaching nearly $100
million in assets for the purposes of supporting
Christian work and charity
around the world. He focuses on charitable projects and providing services to
Christian organizations as a board member or as an independent advisor. He
is a Visiting Hoover Fellow at Stanford University and has served on
the Board of Trustees for Regent University, including the Executive
Committee. He was also appointed by Dr. David Yonggi Cho as an elder in
Seoul, South Korea at the world’s largest church with over 750,000
members and he leads a weekly Bible study for business leaders in
Silicon Valley, which he started over 10 years ago.
In addition to his business and charitable
activities, Ken Eldred has authored a book "God is at Work" and
co-edited another "On Kindgom Business" which discuss in depth how
business leaders around the world are having some of the best impact on
developing nations on almost every front, from economic to social to
spiritual. He has conducted a number of seminars and speeches sharing some
of his exciting research and encouraging those with gifts in business to realize
the full potential of such gifts

Ken Eldred was born and raised in the San Francisco
Bay area of California and graduated from Stanford University in California with
both an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Masters in Business
Administration. During his
education, he spent several years studying in France and Switzerland, and speaks French.
Mr. Eldred and his wife Roberta currently reside
in Silicon Valley, California, and have 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.
